For the next 3 months, be strong with the fundamentals of these topics. Focus more on the Quantitative section as it requires more practice.

There are plenty of websites providing MCQ sample questions. Only practicing the questions helps you crack the aptitude round. There are a lot of time-based mock tests available on Google.

Try it out. Analyze your results and work on the topic at which you are lagging. Simply practice practice practice.

2. Coding Skills:

As you are a CSE student, coding knowledge is the most required skill. The basics of C knowledge are expected by every HR.

Apart from C, it is recommended to know one other major language (Java, C++, Python).

C++ and Java are widely used in programming competitions and web development. You can practice coding by using various online platforms.

Top 5 coding platforms:

  1. CodeChef

  2. HackerRank

  3. TopCoder

  4. LeetCode

  5. HackerEarth

Benefits of Coding Platforms:

  • It contains coding questions from the beginner level to the advanced level.
  • These platforms have a ranking system based on the clearance of coding questions.
  • By cracking top questions and getting ranked, you can get placement opportunities from the platform itself.
  • Apart from this, you can use your coding platform profile URL in your resume to make your resume stand out from the crowd.

Other subject topics:

Aptitude and coding alone is not enough. Basic knowledge of other subject topics is also most recommended.

Some of the basic topics:

  • Computer Networks
  • Data Structure and Algorithm (DSA)
  • Object Oriented Programming Structure (OOPS)
  • Operating Systems
  • Database Management Systems (DBMS)

These are all the major areas you should focus on. If you have time, focus on other topics as well.

3. Communication:

Not only in interviews, communication is most important in all areas. Technical knowledge helps you show your expertise but the way you communicate shows your confidence.

Most probably the second round would be a coding round either face-to-face or with an AI presence. From the second round itself, HR checks your confidence. You have to speak confidently throughout the interview.

So from today onwards, start speaking in English with your friends.

Initially, you feel awkward and feel more struggle to speak in English. But you will become better day by day. So start practicing and become better at yourself.

By focusing on all these factors consistently for the next 3 months, you can crack your interview.

Undoubtedly Practice is the only key to mastering all these 3 areas. Have a topic on a weekly schedule and keep practicing.
